KS3 Literacy & Inclusion: Rochdale

Delivery Year 2

Raising Rochdale Inclusion Programme focuses on building a collaborative approach to Inclusion across the Town to enable success in Education for every young person.
​
The primary partnership will centre on area secondary schools, including the Special School and Pupil Referral Unit, working together on the thematic area of Inclusion.

Why
Rochdale?
Rochdale is an area of significant need; it was identified as a Department for Education’s Priority Education Investment Area (PEIA) in 2022, due to combined levels of deprivation and performance outcomes at the end of both primary and secondary school.
In Rochdale, children’s education and attainment is also affected by historic high rates of school exclusion.
HOW THE PROGRAMME WORKS
The programme focuses on three different workstreams.

Targeted support and improved outcomes for specific cohort of students within each school, as determined by the Inclusion Deputy in each school, based on the needs of the selected students
